More About Ian and Denise

Ian passed away on October 22, 2025 

at the age of 53

Ian and I were together for over 37 years. We worked hard to build an amazing life and dreamed of a time when we could retire and spend our days together enjoying our house, farm, horses, and property to the fullest. 

To Ian,

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.

I thought of you yesterday, and will tomorrow too.

I think of you in silence, and make no outward show.

What it meant to lose you, only those who loved you know.

Remembering you is easy, I do it every day.

It is the heartache of losing you, that will never go away.

Ian was very proud of owning his own home, stables, and land. His fondest memories were of our trip to Scotland and the years of Renaissance Festivals we attended. His greatest joy came from working and playing with our Friesian horses. 

Ian worked as a full-time Machinist for over 30 years. He grew up in Western NY and attended the Metal Institute for machining. He was interested in history, astronomy,  and mythology (especially dragons). When he wasn't working or training horses, he enjoyed making things with the lathe and mill in his garage. He also loved riding his 4-wheeler and KX 250 dirt bike, and target practice with archery, pistols, and rifles. 

Denise is a high school Math Teacher 

Denise graduated from NCCC with an Associates Degree in Computer Programming, RIT with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computers and Criminal Justice, and Brockport University with a Master’s Degree in Education. She enjoys reading, crafts, her fish, and playing with her ferrets. When she isn’t working or training horses, she is doing carpentry, landscaping, mowing, or working on the websites for the online business.
